To start the main story of Part 1: The Teal Mask:
In this chapter, you will leave the Paldea region, the setting of your Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet adventures.
Part 1: The Teal Mask takes you on a school trip to Kitakami, where you will participate in an outdoor study opportunity organized in collaboration with another academy.
Your journey begins with an excursion to Kitakami, a region outside Paldea. There, you’ll meet Carmine and Kieran, students from the distant Blueberry Academy. Your teachers will pair you up and assign you the task of locating three historic markers around Kitakami. Each marker reveals a piece of the legend of an ogre that once troubled the region’s sole settlement, Mossui Town.
While the reserved Kieran shares his fascination with ogre legends as you explore, his aloof sister Carmine appears more interested in challenging you to battles. As you continue, you’ll uncover more about the region’s history and culture, including the Festival of Masks and the true nature of Mossui Town’s guardian Pokémon, the Loyal Three.
